Do you like to party and hang out with cool new people? Um, like Duh. Well, IMVU's new ChatCast lets you throw a party in any scene! Now that ChatCast has had some time to settle, we got the lowdown from IMVUs fiendish designer, Marcus (aka Chattynatty).Credits

ChatCasting is broadcasting a public invitation to others to join your 3D Chat session. Simply by hitting the "ChatCast" button while in 3D Chat with another avatar,Credits your invitation will be publically displayed on IMVUs homepage. It"s the first of many group 3D activities that IMVU is cranking on, and there is a ton of cool new community stuff being concocted in IMVUs dark laboratory these days. And when I say "dark laboratory", I really mean "tiny office of cubicles"Credits.

"It"s a blast to see how inventive people are with themed chats, parties, and all sorts of special events. A few days ago,Credits there was a "strictly formal wear"Credits party in one of Whystler"s stunning castle rooms - filled with avatars in ballgowns and suits! "Fantastic!" says Marcus, designer of IMVUs unique drag-and-drop homepages.

As a Beta, ChatCast helping IMVU learn how to make group chatting exactly what users want: fun, simple, and safe. Abuse is always an issue, and monitoring/filtering features are being developed as IMVU learns how best to deal with them.

Marcus assures us that obscene ChatCasts are being zapped as soon as they are spotted/reported, and other features for filtering are on their way. Be sure to report anything questionable!
